It all started with a question, “Why not us?”
It all started in 2018…
In 2018 one of our Palisades parents turned to another parent and remarked on the school foundations that were starting throughout South Orange County but didn’t know why we hadn’t started one in Capo Beach. This was all it took to launch. Within a year, our Palisades Elementary Foundation was up and running.
We strongly abide by our mission to improve the educational environment at Palisades Elementary by growing our Foundation with new members every year. Our fundraising efforts have gone from an average of $7k per year, to over $50k per year and growing. We have grown our outreach to include free after-school programming that is available year-round for all students.
Our fundraising events have evolved into a full schedule of various activities for students and families to join. The community has come together in force to support these events, get to know one another, and foster a thriving space for all families.
Our efforts reach beyond fundraising to create relationships that last well beyond Palisades into middle school, high school, and beyond. A rising tide lifts all ships.
